Local High School student and Eagle Scout candidate Brendan McAlevy is conducting a collection drive of new and used iPods for Alzheimer’s and dementia patients on Saturday, May 25, and Sunday, May 26, from 10am to 4pm, at Wal-Mart, located at 11181 Lee Hwy, Fairfax, VA 22030. Music For Memory is a non-profit organization that provides free iPods to senior citizens with Alzheimer’s. These iPods are programmed with songs that the seniors enjoy and which provoke positive memories from their past.
